Final quest spoiler: Remember that you will always lose 2 heroes if you bring a full party to the final Darkest Dungeon quest, meaning the hero deaths restriction is effectively 10 (14 with Crimson Court).
If the Crimson Court DLC is activated, the restrictions are raised to 100 weeks and 16 hero deaths.
The hardest difficulty, Stygian, requires you to beat the game within 86 weeks and with fewer than 12 heroes dying. You will also earn the Entry Level achievement at the same time. This achievement is for completing the game on either 'Darkest' difficulty or Stygian without ever adjusting the gameplay settings. Note that this achievement cannot be gained for completing the game on Radiant difficulty.Ĭomplete the game with default difficulty options The remaining 5 can only be dropped by the Shambler or by the Shuffling Horror (the first Darkest Dungeon boss). 9 of them can be obtained as rewards for completing long Champion level dungeons, by finding them as rare loot in Champion level dungeons or by finding them in chests within the Darkest Dungeon. There are 14 Ancestral trinkets in total. If you have any DLC activated on your estate, these will add additional Caretaker Goals. To complete all of them, you will need to raise a hero of each class to maximum level, defeat every boss found at the end of a dungeon, complete the quest Wolves at the Door, and complete every Darkest Dungeon quest. The Caretaker Goals are a list of objectives that can be found by clicking on the scroll icon at the bottom of the screen when in the hamlet. A week is passed every time you complete or retreat from a quest.
